There has been a Christian Science Church in Northampton since 1933. It is now
called a Christian Science Society, but is still a branch of The First Church of Christ,
Scientist in Boston Massachusetts. The Mother Church, as it is known, was established
in 1879 to "commemorate the word and works of our Master [Christ Jesus]" and
to "reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing". The
members of this Society work for the fulfilment of this goal in Northampton and throughout the world.
We extend a warm welcome to all. Visitors, and especially newcomers to this Christian religion, are always very welcome to our services and meetings, and to visit our Reading Room where the attendant on duty will be happy to answer your questions.
